The tradition of the Mona de Pascua goes back back to centuries. Formerly the Mona was a twisted roll adorned with hard eggs. Nowadays the figure of the egg, although of chocolate stays. In Catalonia it is celebrated Monday of Passover eating these typical pies that, over the years and of the hand of the pastelero union, have become authentic chocolate sculptures.
